COVID-19 UPDATE, 28 JULY: Although we’re not operating in 2020, guests are already planning their stays for next year. Meanwhile, we’ve added a location on Vancouver Island – with residential weight loss camps from September to May. Next year, we’ll offer 3 one month weight loss boot camp hiking retreats in Whistler, in addition to the wellness spa program.
You just can’t beat the beauty of British Columbia
British Columbia, Canada’s most western province, is truly breathtaking – surrounded by Pacific coastline and stunning mountain ranges.
There are nature areas all around you, and outstanding outdoor adventures to suit whatever sport you love. Nature areas like Glacier National Park offer hiking and biking trails, as well as campgrounds. Whistler Blackcomb is a major ski resort that hosted the 2010 Winter Olympics.
The scenic Sea-to-Sky Highway links Whistler with Vancouver, a city known for its film industry, at the province’s southern U.S. border. Whistler Fitness Vacations is centrally located in the heart of Whistler village, just steps from the gondola.

B.C. is the perfect location for all types of luxury wellness retreats, from health spa vacations to girls getaway pamper weekends!
The views are something you’ll never grow tired of! Giant glacial-fed lakes and crystal glaciers, towering mountains and miles of sandy beach that feels rugged, yet comfortable. B.C. is also a top choice for safe, vibrant cities and quaint, artistic towns, all enriched by a blend of cultures.
Ten mountain ranges push west; the Canadian Rockies, Coast Mountains and the Vancouver Island Ranges. Ancient temperate rainforests hug the coast with some of the warmest weather in Canada. Summers are warm but not too hot, and winters are mild and wet with little snow at sea level. If you’re joining us for a weight loss camp, you’ll be comfortable and invigorated with the weather.
Should you stay 1, or 2 weeks?
Everyone comes to Whistler Fitness Vacations for different reasons, with the common goal of getting fitter, lighter and healthier. While personal circumstances such as time and money will likely have the greatest influence on your decision, here’s a breakdown of what to expect.
The one week ‘Kick Start’ program is exactly that – it’s a new beginning towards healthier and happier. You’ll get to experience some of Whistler’s most stunning trails, while exploring new heights in your fitness abilities. Each day is different, and we structure your programming to be more of a fitness vacation experience than our longer duration programs. You’ll learn valuable tips that can easily transfer to your life at home, and likely lose 3-5 pounds. Our customers use this weight loss as a motivation to continue at home.
If you can extend your fitness retreat into two weeks, it’ll be in your advantage. It’s great to revisit some of the trails and feel proud how much you’ve progressed! You’ll get into the swing of regular exercise and build your athletic confidence significantly. Many of our guests tell us “I’m so glad I came for two weeks instead of one” because really, the time goes by quickly and you’re learning so much!
Exclusively for women of beginner fitness level
The focus is on transforming behaviour, habits and mindset surrounding food and exercise, improving knowledge and self-awareness throughout the process. Most of our guests lose between 12 and 25 lbs in their one month stay. Everyone begins and finishes their weight loss retreat on the same day, which builds a camaraderie – many becoming lifelong friends.
If three weeks is the vacation time that you have, we will still accomplish amazing things. This duration will take you all the way into the habit of making healthier, fitter and lighter choices. You’ll discover your athletic potential and go through the through the stages of motivation to continue at home.
Adding on an extra week can make a significant difference in momentum and results, however. This extra week does remarkable things to continue challenging you and really solidify the patterns learnt. Most of our guests experience the most exciting results in week 4 of their stay.

The 6 weeks weight loss retreat package is truly a magical experience. Total Immersion gives you that extra few weeks of results, practice and routine – really making the difference. You’ll upgrade your life dramatically in body, mind and spirit while experiencing true wellness – in every sense. Results are truly incredible for the 6 week health retreat.
Most of our fitness retreat guests that choose this package have bounced around many weight loss resorts before, and worked with personal trainers on-and-off most of their lives. They’ve tried every diet program out there, some with marginal success yet none with true sustainability. They’ve perhaps had weight loss surgery and regained the weight back – very frustrating!
Simply put, they want to put a permanent end to their lifelong quest to achieve healthy weight. To go somewhere to ‘get the job done.’
Guests lose as much as 60 pounds in their 8 week stay.
The big program at Whistler Fitness Vacations is 8 weeks. Most of our guests hover between 170 – 270 lb range for their starting weight and can walk a couple of hours, ride a bike and are generally healthy. They’re ready to roll up their sleeves and get to work on ‘getting this damn weight off!!!!’
Just the whole scale, the physical, the eating, the spiritual – all of that I’m finding here. And I know when I go home I’m going to be a success! Because it’s not just one element that I’ve changed, it’s mind, body and soul. That’s the difference for me, and it’s literally changed my life. Your new family is our genuine and caring team including different fitness guides. They hike and bike with you every day – you really get to know them pretty well! As the fitness director of your stay, I also lead hikes, bikes, kayaks, running, fitness classes and workshops daily, split up into the different levels of ability. I love it!
You’ve got the love from the great staff at the Westin too, as cliche as it sounds, from the friendly housekeeper to the helpful concierge, the valet team.
