Vancouver is a bustling city with over 2.5 million people, located in the Lower Mainland of B.C. It’s beautifully clean, consistently ranked in the top ten of the worlds best places to live. In 2010 they hosted the Olympics, and there’s lots of really fun tourism activities still thriving.
‘Vangroovy’ is one of the greenest cities you can hope to visit, with lots of trees and ocean between the high rise buildings. It’s just 2 hours from Whistler, and many of our guests at Whistler Fitness Vacations spend a day or two here after their flight.
This city holds a special place in my heart as it’s where I started my fitness career, as a new immigrant. Two decades later, I’m here throughout the year for weekend retreats. As a transformational life coach for women, I run powerful events out of The Westin Bayshore, on the waterfront.
If arriving by air, you’ll likely fly into YVR and catch a shuttle into the city. Click here for info on getting here. One of the best things about Vancouver is how easy everything is, with direct flights pretty much everywhere in the world. I flew to New Zealand directly from YVR in 13 hours on my last trip…
There’s so much to do here. You’ll have opportunity at the life coach events for women to join the others and go explore! My favourite things include biking around the seawall at Stanley Park (there are rental bike shops everywhere) and catching up with clients in Kitslano beach.
- Forest hiking across Capilano suspension bridge
- Vancouver Aquarium is unforgettable…
- Biking around Stanley Park seawall
- FlyOver Canada is insanely awesome
- Having a cocktail on the Vancouver Lookout
- Walking on the white sand beaches
